About SOOV IT Haemorrhoid Ointment

SOOV IT is an anti-inflammatory (hydrocortisone 0.5% w/w) and anaesthetic (lignocaine 5% w/w) ointment that helps to relieve the pain and discomfort associated with haemorrhoids also known as hemorrhoids or piles.

SOOV IT can be applied externally or internally.

For internal haemorrhoids SOOV IT contains an easy-to-use applicator that is designed to deliver a measured and consistent dose to the right area every time.

SOOV IT is available from pharmacy without a prescription.

SOOV IT is available in two sizes 15g and 30g.

How does it work?

SOOV IT ointment helps to relieve anorectal symptoms in two major ways:

• The hydrocortisone is an anti-inflammatory, that helps to minimise the inflammation associated with haemorrhoids.
•

The lignocaine aids in relieving the itching, pain and irritation associated with haemorrhoids.

SOOV IT also contains an emollient base which helps protect the skin from further aggrevation and chafing.

For external haemorrhoids (or hemorrhoids or piles), the standard topical application of SOOV IT is appropriate. However, for internal haemorrhoids, the SOOV IT pack contains an applicator that is:

• Easy to use - a simple procedure for delivering the dose to the internal site.
• Designed to deliver a measured, consistent dose, to the right area every time.
• Minimises wastage - separate applicator means minimal wastage.

How do you use it?

• For external haemorrhoids, apply a small quantity of SOOV IT haemorrhoid ointment with a finger to the affected area. Apply up to three times daily (morning, noon and evening when necessary) preferably after bowel movements.
• For internal haemorrhoids, apply SOOV IT externally as above and use the applicator for internal application.   Administer up to three times daily (morning, noon and evening when necessary) preferably after bowel movements.
